Girl Friday’s Friday – The Big Chill!

Hi there,

Yes it’s Friday again and it’s definitely on the cold side!  This reminds me to say a big thank you to Andrew Lindfield, Nina De Cosimo, Christian Kay & Nicholas Buer who stuck out the cold last Sunday as we completed an outdoor shoot for Greene Parc.  I was actually wearing my long johns!  Still it could have been worse … we could have shot it this weekend! We now only have one last scene to shoot and then it is the challenge of Post production.

We haven’t just been doing the filming recently either, Emma and I have been coming up with ideas for some new sketches and comic songs.  We were thrilled with the response we had for our stage sketch show Moonlighting back in October at Brentwood Theatre and we are hoping that later on in the year we will be able to film and then you can see them on here hopefully.

Here’s a few photos from last weekend’s shoot.  Have a good weekend and happy Girl Friday!

Girl Friday’s Friday Filming

Hi there,

Hooray – the sun shines for Girl Friday.

Yes it’s been a while so here is an update of our activities over the last couple of months.  We have managed to film some of the scenes for Greene Parc in November & December but then a thing called Christmas, and more specifically for us Panto, got in the way.  Yes we were in panto together in Jack & the Beanstalk with Hens Theatre Company and infact we still are.  There are two shows on the 17th February at Hylands House in Chelmsford, a lovely venue.

Filming for Greene Parc is getting really exciting now and thanks to Andy London, Nina De Cosimo and Andie Lindfield who have all filmed scenes with us before Christmas.  Thanks to Chris and Nick at www.snapboxproductions.com who have not only been filming us but making it look fantastic.   We are now getting ready to film the last scene this Sunday so really looking forward to it.  After that there will be one more short scene to film in March and then we are done!  Thanks to all who have taken up their time to work on the project with us.  The end is in sight and of course you will be able to see it when we do.  Until then we will keep you updated with our progress.

In the meantime you can follow Girl Friday on Facebook and Twitter by clicking on the links bottom right of our blog.  Beaver Bin would quite like it if you followed him too as he is a bit of a Diva Bin.

Here are some pics from the shoots before Christmas.

Nina and Emma taking 5 (or maybe 15). Emma is so proud of the green crocs in this scene that she has started wearing them all the time - to Waitrose, the gym & even the Sugarhut!

Chris studying script for ideas or perhaps he's nodded off.

Girl Friday’s Friday

Hi there,

After last weekends filming, this week has been all about organising the next shooting dates in a couple of weeks time which has definitely kept us busy.  Although, never let it be said that we don’t do it in style.  Today Emma and Roz met up at the Reflections Spa and discussed changes to the script and location planning over lunch.  Roz did work out in the gym whilst Emma caught a few rays of sunshine.  I think we can work out who got the better deal there!  We have worked hard though as next week we are both involved in other projects.

If you have a free night next week why not pop along to the Brentwood Theatre to see the production that Emma has been Directing.  It’s the wonderful Stephen Sondheim musical Company.  Details are on the poster below and you can book tickets online via www.brentwood-operatic.com.

We will keep you up to date with all the Greene Parc news as it happens.  In the meantime you can also befriend Beaver Bin on Facebook for a bins eye view of things.

Podcast RecordingHi there,

We have been busy the last few weeks writing Podcasts and we have just uploaded our first one to YouTube.  It features two characters from Greene Parc, Tina and Susan, discussing this weeks hot topic – the environment.  It takes place on Tina’s fantasy radio show – Guilty Pleasures.

We will also be filming some more of our Podcasts as ‘Webisodes’ over the next couple of weeks which will be uploaded to our YouTube Channel as will all our filming of Greene Parc.

Thank You!

Hi!

Thank you so much to everyone who came and supported us at our quiz night last night.  We had a fab time and raised nearly £200 to be put towards our filming costs.  We are really grateful to have so much encouragement on our project.

A big thank you to some of our friends.  Firstly Paul Sweeney for being our Quiz Master and annoying our guests for the evening.  Ian Southgate for lending us our PA system.  Also to the staff of the Courage Hall for all their help. Thanks also to Phoenix FM, Brentwood who have promoted us on their website, had us in the studio and brought a team along.

We will be putting it all to good use and it has definitely given the confidence to really drive Greene Parc forward.
